Fantasy BFG League
Just to clarify immediately, the league is not running yet. This is just
informing you of my plans and to give you some idea of how I think it will work.
Any suggestions are always welcome to the usual
address. Anyway, my current plans are:
 | To begin you choose a fleet no more than 1000pts. Everything is fully
constructed ready for your first match. You must choose Imperial, Chaos,
Eldar or Orks, and the ships must be the origionals detailed in the BFG
manual.
 | In battle, all move in such a way as to best attack the closest ships. The
ships attack the closest ship in each firing arc unless have special orders
(see below).
 | You may issue your ships with orders before they go into battle.
 | Offensive - deal more damage, but also take more.
 | Defensive - deal less damage, but also take less.
 | Attack - will attack a desegnated ship or ships until they are all
destroyed, and will then attack the closest ships as normal.
 | Defend - will only attack ships attacking it or the ship it is
guarding, until the ship it is guarding is destroyed and then it will
act normally.

 | For each battle your fleet may consist of any number of points as long as
it complies to the fleet rules (eg may only consist of one battleship etc.
See the manual!)
 | If you destroy a ship, you earn one half the points value of that ship to
spend.
 | If you are the victor, you capture all drifting hulks, whatever the team (eg
if you are Chaos you can still capture Ork ships).
 | Each ship repairs 2 criticals inbetween battles. You can send a damaged
ship into battle.
 | Each ship ordered to be built builds 2 criticals inbetween battles, but
you cannot use it until it is fully built (ie to build a Chaos Despoiler
Battleship with 12 criticals takes 6 battles).
 | Leadership is based on a ships Battles won:Battles lost ratio

I hope this is clear. I'll say it again - the league is not running yet. I need
to convince a friend to write a program to do all this, but watch this space.
